Wikipedia biases revealed with new IP scanning tool (8/17/2007)
Recently Virgil Griffith, a research associate at Indiana University and soon-to-be grad student at Cal Tech, released Wikiscanner, a tool that links anonymous edits on Wikipedia with their originating network. Wired news has been tracking the most egregious conflict-of-interest edits on their Wall of Shame, which has already recognized Fox News, Diebold (voting machine manufacturer), and the CIA.
