    So Near Yet So Far (1/20/2007)

    Map of Downtown Seattle I have been unable to attend any of the evening activities at ALA Midwinter because I got assigned to the farthest hotel from the convention center possible, the ALA shuttle stops running after 6 p.m., and I'm unwilling to stand for longer than 5 minutes at a deserted bus stop or call for a cab at $28 a pop. I don't think this will be a problem at Annual. I just booked my hotel, which is only 2 blocks from the convention center.
