    The Library of Yesteryear (9/21/2006)

The Irascible Professor aims its latest criticism at modern libraries, which did not go unanswered by the blog of the Association of College and Research Libraries.

I'm more concerned, however, by the charges of politically correct revisionism. Nancy Drew is one of those characters that have been revisited several times over the years, but I think it is more out of affection than censorship that her look or her car keep getting updated for new generations of readers.

Would guest commentator Jane Goodwin count The True Story of the Three Little Pigs or the Stinky Cheeseman as politically correct revisionist works?
