Librarians in flood plains: Don't use the lower shelves (9/13/2006) Tulane and other universities are suing for flood coverage after Katrina, which the insurers claimed was never covered in their policy. Meanwhile, Tulane's dean of the library, Lance Query, says that from now on, all books will kept be on shelves "two feet above flood stage and then a foot on top of that to clear the wake of the boat." |
