    Technology at Brown (6/06/2005)

Before WebCT and Blackboard, college faculty created email listservs to facilitate online interactions outside the classroom. Now professors like Ross Cheit at Brown University can replace traditional sections with virtual sections by creating blogs and discussion boards. Brown's library is also planning to tag its books with RFID technology to make it easier for staff to find books in the building and for borrowers to get in and out of the building quickly.
