    Publishers concerned about electronic reserves (5/19/2005)

    Under fair use, university libraries have long allowed students to make copies of copyrighted materials, but publishers see electronic reserves as akin to course packs, which require permission and allow them to collect royalties. The Association of American Publishers has already contacted UC San Diego, claiming rights infringement.
