Get MP3s @ Your Library (9/01/2004) About 100 library systems around the country are testing out a new service: downloading MP3 audio books to either a patron's own MP3 player or a library-owned player that can then be checked out. Ever looking forward, Public Library Association president Clara Bohrer predicts that as more patrons get their own MP3 players, libraries will eventually phase out the players and focus solely on digital content. |
